CPC Interruptions list not accurate

Just a note to those that might be using the cpc interruptions list, were finding its not accurate, not even close.. advice test purchase labels to international locations before adding those countries to your 'ship to' list.

Is anyone able to ship to Australia yesterday/today? I went to print label for 2.5 kg parcel yesterday via EST and got nothing but errors. Talked to 2 different CanadaPost help desk people--one thought it was a glitch that would be resolved, the other thought it was because of an imminent change in service available to Australia. Today, my EST drop-down for Australia was showing only 2 shipping services: Small Packet surface, and International Parcle Surface. This makes sense, as I had read on the Australian Postal page that they were dealing with too much volume for their system to handle with everything that is going on there.

HOWEVER, when I went to print the label, it errored out for the 2.5kg parcel. I could have printed a 2kg Small Packet (at least, it gave me a price quote for it, so I assume it would have printed).

Is this happening to everyone?

And how is everyone dealing with all of the cancelled destinations? Do we have to modify all of our listings? This is changing daily.

...and, of course, I now have a late shipping ding on ebay. I have emailed the buyer to let them know what is going on---still hoping that surface mail will be available. I had thought about trying to mail via a postal outlet, but was told by CanadaPost rep that, if the service were actually discontinued, then items would be returned to sender.

Re: CPC Interruptions list not accurate

Did a quick run through of our top 8 , all ok except Australia, which was printing yesterday. I had same with two others earlier in the week no service one day, back up the next...if you can wait a day try again, use second account like cpc est to confirm its not just shippo.  Things are getting tricky out there. UK , Sing, USA,  Sweden, Fin, Denmark, Japan,  Australia

Re: CPC Interruptions list not accurate

I was using EST Desktop, not ebay labels.  Australia is still only allowing 2kg to print, not 2.5kg International Surface Parcel. Maybe I'll try other method of generating label later this evening.

On general principles, it is NEVER a good idea to ship Surface overseas. If it can't go Air Mail, it is better to cancel as Problem with Address and send a polite apology to the customer.
Better a negative feedback that will not be used by eBay to assess your selling account, than losing both item and payment to an unhappy and impatient customer.

I just read --- and deleted --- an email from "Rob" at eBay about late shipping problems.

If you got that, try emailing Customer Service (Facebook and Twitter are other possibles) to appeal that ding.

Have the message from Rob at hand and paste it into your appeal.

Best wishes.

Re: CPC Interruptions list not accurate

I've been shipping via surface mail overseas for 15 years with almost no problems. I offer airmail, as well, but probably 90% choose surface for 2.5kg and up items. Many of my items are in the 10kg range.

Please be advised that Australia Post is experiencing international delivery delays into Canada of up to 4-6 weeks due to limited flights and government restrictions.

Express items will be given priority over Standard items during this time.

Australia Post will suspend Economy Services for parcels effective 3 April and until further notice. Economy Services for letters will continue.

I use letterpost for Australia so still an option for me.

Re: CPC Interruptions list not accurate

That is for mail leaving Australia, not inbound, I think.
My shipping program is still showing Small Packet Surface, and International Parcel Surface, but won't let me print anything butt the Small Packet label.
Again, is anyone able to generate an International Surface mail label to Australia? When, I spoke to CanadaPost on Friday, they said that, if the drop-down showed the service, then it should work.
For me, the suspension of airmail should theoretically have been good for my Australian sales, as almost all of my Australian customers choose surface mail and US sellers wouldn't be able to offer surface mail, at least not through USPS.
