I decided to post it here, because this might be a very useful info for some of us.
If we use the CP EST, we are asked about the shape of our package. If we choose the "cylindrical tube", there is a $2 surcharge. However, there is no "cylindrical tube tube" option, if the shipping label is printed through Ebay.
This problem was aready discussed here a few times. I was even contacted by Ebay directly - they asked me to describe the problem and provide more details.
Today, I saw - for the first time - an official confirmation, the the surcharge doesn't apply to Small and Tracked Packets. This is a big game changer for me and for some of us (about 50% of my items are shipped in tubes). Definitely, I will sleep better from now on 😄

When eBay labels was designed (years ago) eBay forgot to include it as an option. If you go to CP's calculator or CP to create a shipment it is there. As you noted it was pointed out but never addressed. It's similar to adding additional insurance with eBay Labels. You are limited to what an item sold for. In some cases that may be much less than what it is actually worth. Has made it difficult for anyone to preplan for those extra costs when something sells by an auction and a seller will never know what that will end up being. (From a US perspective in the past with GSP it was unable to process orders for anything in a shipping tube. Have been unable to confirm if that applies to eIS.

On eBay's part it was short-sighted/bad programming to not include. Similar to not having access to all the additional services UPS/Fedex provide when you go their website.
If or when you do test, keep us posted if you happen to see a secondary charge....after mailing or if it comes with a detailed explanation. Sure took forever for that official explanation to appear.
