I thought these numbers might be of interest to the usual gang.

They want delivery speed – but some are more patient than before

69% will shop more often with a retailer that provides fast shipping: however, this is 9% less than last year

78% choose retailers that manage expections throughout the experience

At a guess that means, tell your customer what to expect and communicate promptly when necessary.

It looks as if in Ontario mail will be much slower for a while because a section of the Canada Post facility in Mississauga is closing down because of Covid 19. Several businesses are being closed using section 22.

I'm hopeful that with more experiene with online/mail order shopping, that Canadians have learned that 'overnight' is probably not going to happen but the convenience of shopping at home/on coffee breaks/on the bus/ waiting for the dentist outweighs having the purchase arrive a week later.

Like getting  an unbirthday present!

Today's unbirthday present was dried cranberries, apple chips, and pecans  from Ayoub's in Vancouver.  I'd forgotten the darkchocolate and ginger candies I had also ordered.  Highly recommended!
