All the provinces of Canada are pretty much in the South-- do you mean one of the Territories? (Yukon, Northwest Territory, Nunavut)

Canadians shipping to isolated communities may pay a surcharge on shipping and delivery can be slow. Iqaluit is the capital of Nunavut and only gets three planes a week.

But PO boxes are the safest addresses possible. They are in a public space-- the post office. And the owner has a key. If the parcel does not fit in the box, the owner has to claim it at the counter and show ID.

I guess you are not in Canada, so you wouldn't know that many quite urban communities do not have door to door delivery.  Everyone has a box in a 'Community Mail Box' and if the parcel won't fit in his personal (locked) box, the carrier puts it in a larger locked box and leaves the recipient the key.

We hate them, but that's another story.

If your buyer lives in any of the Territories they live in a smaller community without home delivery. All mail would most likely be picked up at the local post office. Due to the weight of your item, you would be limited to Regular or Xpresspost as your best/most economical mailing options noting you have included free shipping with this item. Expedited would also be available with a  small business account which would get you additional postage discounts if you are shipping on a regular basis. I would definitely ship with a service that includes signature and includes insurance so you would be covered for a safe delivery. Package well so it arrives in the same condition it is leaving in. Also, remember delivery times can vary to the Great White North. Once it is in transit monitor it along its way and after it arrives confirm with the customer all is satisfactory. To ease your concerns you can always google an address to confirm it is valid. Hope that will start you on your way?

You’re in Regina; is there something specific that has led you to think it’s unsafe to ship North?

Have you checked PayPal to confirm you received payment? If so, ship it.

Pack it well. Use Canada Post and insure it through Expedited Parcel and use Signature Confirmation if you’ve hit the limit for it. I forget the limit, it’s somewhere around $650+. Your MacBook Air sold for $500. Considering that you’re a new seller, I’d use Signature anyway.

You've probably made a customer in the North very happy with your recent sale. Everything is much more expensive. Just for comparison please see videos.
