Ebay Label Charged almost double what the original cost was using UPS

When I made the label it was $33.35 but then after I sent the item and it got delivered

ebay charged me -C$62.53.

I know when I add shipping details I always triple check my measurement's so what's the deal? that seems like quiet the discrepency? also no messages or anything about my package dimensions being incorrect.

Welcome to the UPS - FedEx

Extra fees club, you have been initiated & why I have NEVER used these two services, you never know who or what will be charged a fee...

While it's true that both FedEx and UPS are well know for upcharges the real issue is that when you buy the labels from eBay you have virtually no way to question additional charges.

If you want to use those carriers get your own accounts and deal direct.

Re: Ebay Label Charged almost double what the original cost was using UPS

I have a similar concern that I need a little help with...

For background context: I am based in Toronto, Canada and I sold a laptop set to a buyer in Dallas, US in August of 2024. The package was shipped via UPS and delivered on-time and the customer was not charged any duties/import taxes upon reciept.

The issue: Today, eBay informs me that I am being dinged CAD $35.74 for that order (shipping label charges) by UPS.

What I did: I scrolled through my eBay Activity and noticed that I was NOT charged for the shipping label "at that time (which should have been in August of 2024 itself)" but the charges are only being reflected in my account now.

Is this normal? Can I do anything about this?

Yes we noticed that too. We are not getting charged for labels until 3 weeks later sometimes. Our solution was to switch to a credit card for fees and charges so it cannot NSF the bank account.

Re: Ebay Label Charged almost double what the original cost was using UPS

I had a label not get charged until 3 months after it was generated. It was a package to New Zealand. Usually, it can range from a few days to multiple weeks. Recently, it's within 2-3 days.

I ensure I always have funds to cover these expected charges.
