I just noticed one of my ads wasn't showing up on ebay.com when I search for lowest price + shipping. It shows up dead last for Best Match & highest price + shipping but not for lowest price + shipping. This concerns me because most people search for the lowest prices first & I won't get any sales if my ad doesn't show up. I have a basic store and I'm a Top Rated Seller so this makes no sense why they won't list my ad properly. Anyone know the reason for this???

Can you share the item title so we can check?

Sorting by "price plus shipping: lowest first" -- when a lowest first sort is performed, you will often see a message at the top of the results: "We removed some search results to show you the most relevant listings. View all results" -- if you want to see all the results, you need to either try another sort, or click on that "View all results" link. Otherwise you are only seeing a subset of the results of that search, despite the number that is shown at the top. Try counting the results before and after following that "all results" link. eBay is not showing results that it does not consider relevant unless users specifically request it in that particular sort.
If your item is appearing at the tail end of a Best Match search, that is a sign that eBay does not think your item listing is a good match for those search terms. See here for some things to look at:

This is the link to my ad:
NEW! BABYLON 5 Complete Series DVD Set 1 2 3 4 5 Movie Collection + Crusade NTSC | eBay
I checked under All Listings as well. It's not there still.

First 4 words are considered most relevant keywords. No need to use New in a title and don’t use any symbols such as ! and + as these are not picked up as keywords by Google or eBay. You are selling a DVD Set so that should be part of your first 4 words, also the name of the dvd.

I see your listing using a Lowest Price sort and a US or Canadian shipping address.
I added a price range so it appears on top of this screenshot.

What search terms are you using? I didn't have a problem finding it when I searched Babylon 5 DVD complete set (or series) in price lowest, newly listed or best match.

I wonder if the algorithm is ignoring your own items in the Search?
Also, I've noticed that sometimes when I do the same Search several times, I don't always get the same items.
I think perhaps maybe it might be the algorithm deciding I didn't like the ones it showed me first and showing a different bunch from the billion or so available listings?

On ebay.ca it works fine. Ebay.com is the problem. I'm listed as a US seller even though I'm located in Canada.

I didn't have a problem finding it on either site.

I think this:
means you are registered in Canada even though you are listing on dotCOM like many of us do.
I don't remember if there was an eBayCanada in 1998.
@pjcdn2005 @ricarmic any help?

I also see the item on ebay.com:

Ron's memory: I joined in 1999 and there was no eBay Canada for a few years. I don't know when it happened, my guess would be around 2005.
Ron checks Google: eBay Canada started in 2000!
For sure for the first few years it was pretty dead, I didn't list anything on it until starting about 5 years ago and that was more because of shipping differentials than "market" based.
