Chitchats is a mail forwarder, that allows you to send in a box of packages if you are too far away to visit them. Postage for each individual package in the box is bought in advance via chitchats. They open the box on arrival and then forward the packages (often for a big savings, depending on destination).
I am just curious how you or anybody else get their packages to chit chats if you or they are too far away to visit them? Also how much are you paying to ship to a chit chats office if at all? Do you ship enough items in a short period of time for it to be worth paying to ship packages to chit chats offices?

I understand the free label can be used later, but do you happen to know what the ultimate time limit is (if any) for using the label?
I'm also curious about the tracking -- is the number still valid up to a certain time? I believe I saw a note on the Canada Post site that an Xpresspost parcel must be sent within 24 hours for the delivery guarantee to apply, but does the tracking still work 1 week, 1 month, later, even if there is no delivery guarantee?
I'm just wondering because I'll be using one of my free Xpresspost labels within about a week, and the other one likely just after Christmas.

At least 90 days, but I've since reports in the forums of people using the "free" labels in the spring of the following year with no problems.

I don't have enough volume, so I've never mailed anything to them. But if you have 5 items in a box that cost $20 to get to ChitChats then the extra cost is $4/package to subtract from any savings. If you have 10 parcels in the box that cost $25 to ChitChats then the extra cost is $2.50/package. With a "free" Tuesday that extra cost is $0/parcel.
The other consideration is that it does add to your delivery time.
ChitChats has info on their website.

Well, tech support tells me the credit card issue I had in the afternoon on the 23rd was system wide, and not an issue with my account (and I had to call them back to even find that out). Somehow that sounds like BS - like they didn't even bother to fix the problem with my resurrected small business account.
I was happy that CP refunded me my shipping for the package I had to pay for that day, but unfortunately, the cheque was issued in my eBay company name (even though they assured me it would be issued in my personal name when I brought that up). Now I need to get them to re-issue it, in my name (I don't have a business bank account, since my sales are so low).
The eff-ups with this free shipping Tuesday seem endless. I didn't have any packages to ship last Tuesday, but I do for tomorrow on their last day. Should be interesting to see if it works...somehow I don't feel too optimistic...
