My buyer did a request for a refund for an item shipped 4 months ago. EBay is holding my funds due to the request. I had a choice to email her within the request and she now says that she has found her item and has apologized. What do I do now to get the request closed? I can't find anything in eBay's help files.

Try using the Ebay help & contact tab at the top left of the site it will give you an option to have Ebay phone you then explain everything to the Ebay rep that calls you. Good luck getting this resolved.

You ask the buyer to close it OR you just wait and after about 3 weeks it will close out on it's own.

Nothing bad can happen unless the buyer actually escalates the claim.

Well, this is just strange. I THiNK my buyer has closed the request although I have not had any email from eBay telling me so. One by one, messages sent through the request from my buyer have disappeared from my Messages and now in my Payments it says there is no longer a hold on the amount that was being held. Also, in My Seller Hub it no longer shows any tasks pending.

I think I am okay to assume that the request has been closed. But I wish I had received some kind of notification from eBay.
