I have been wanting to open a store because I want to list more on .com. So I got this offer, what do you think?

Which eBay site is the store offer on? eBay.com or eBay.ca?
If on eBay.ca and in CDN go for it as you save. You can cancel anytime in the four months if the store does not work for you.
if the store is on eBay.com and in USD then long term you will pay more because of the exchange rate. So not a good deal.
The offer is for a yearly contract so when you accept it after four months, you are locked into the year contract which is fine since we advised you to try monthly.

Did you just get the offer this morning? I've also been wanting to open a store so if you just got it, maybe I can look forward to receiving one today.
It's a great offer for those who have been considering opening a store, and moving their items to .com. It's likely, however, that only people with a lot of listings got the offer. I notice that you have close to 1000 and I only have about 250. But I want to list another 100 or so.
Anyway, I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I just got it last night in my messages on ebay and this morning at 8:03 pacific time in my regular email. I too had been wanting to open a store so it has come at a good time. I'm going to open a month to month store and see how it goes. The 25% off is a wonderful incentive for the first 4 months. This promotion states that I do not have to sign up for a year, I can do it month to month.

Hi apparently with this offer, I can sign up for monthly and do not have to sign up for a year.

this looks like a really old offer, as the date at the bottom states march -july 15th, and if you look at the store rates they are the older rates before the may increases.. maybe ebay didn't update it before they sent it out.. good luck trying to get those discounted rates.

Yes, I thought that too. We will see, I'll come back and let you know in a few days what the rate was/is.

Did you find out if this is a legitimate offer, music? There's a lot of funny stuff popping up on our screens lately, e.g. having to log on to the German eBay site.

Yes it was a legitimate offer. I called ebay and they helped me set it up. For the first 4 months, the monthly fee is discounted 25% then it goes up to the regular amount. I am on a monthly basis. Now the fee amounts have increased from the original post as those were the old amounts, prior to the increase. I will try having a store out and see how it goes.
I just cannot rely on free listing promotions all the time when I have so much inventory. I also want to sell more on .com in US$. I will post near the end of the 4 months whether it was worth it or not.

So wouldn't you know it that even though they sent me this email and I called at the time and verified everything when I set up the store, they charged me full price for a store for Sept and Oct. Fortunately I had a reference number, I called them tonight, spent 20 minutes on the phone and they will give me a credit for the 25% of the 59.95 store fee for each of those 2 months, but she stated that I will have to call again to get the credit for the remaining 2 months.
Geez, that's all I can say.

In any other business that would be SO unacceptable. They always say "its eBays playground and they can do what they want" which is true obviously but things like this are really going too far.
