If a buyer changes a neutral feedback to a positive does the defect go away?

Had a repeat buyer leave a neutral along with the positives. Not sure why yet, I'll try to catch up to them to try to find that out. 

 

My question, I think I saw somewhere that even if they change it to a positive the defect remains anyway?

 

If anyone has experienced this and knows, I'd appreciate knowing!

Though I would of said Turkey feathers, maybe one day EBay will actually fly and get off the ground......I do understand most of EBay rules but defects is 100% wrong and will cost them lost revenue, sooner or later Canadians will get a backbone like the Americans and tell EBay to stuff their turkey.

They have the same defect policy in the U.S. that we have here so where does the backbone part come in?

One of the (many) things that drives me to distraction about eBay -- half-baked policy that is introduced before they've given the consequences serious thought.  Not that this revision isn't warranted, in fact it was necessary.

 

However, anybody with common sense looking at the original Q&A in the Spring Seller Update could plainly see the flaw in that particular rule.  

 

I still say HORSEFEATHERS and a defect to eBay for their endless revising after the fact instead of thorough thinking before the fact.

Hi Rose! Not to worry, twas at worst just another distraction.

If the day comes that I go over the 2% it will be interesting to see if it makes any difference anyway, I'm already "bad" because I have 2 day shipping....and I see other sellers that are on the verge of being gone with items still showing up early in search results....time will tell!

The neutral changed to a positive yesterday, it came off the reporting today, so yep we do get them deleted!!!

(The reason I chose was buyer entered by mistake, as they told me. I suspect if I picked the other option that said something like I did something to resolve it the defect would have stayed...)
