Is PayPal shipping down today?

"PayPal Shipping is not available."

This is the message I've received today, whenever I try to print out a shipping label.

USPS has new rates being implemented on PayPal today. So it is possible that they are down for changes or are having issues with changes.

It should not affect Canada Post shipping since they did not change today but the systems may be intertwined enough to not be available for both.

If not, then PayPal occasionally does this and retrying a little later sometimes solves the problem.

If by chance the address is very long in a field, sometimes PayPal shipping cannot process the long address field and gives a false error that PayPal shipping is down. Usually for International addresses with long province names or city names over 25 characters. Sometimes for city names in Quebec too when they are Sainte something de something and are long.  Try changing the Sainte to Ste or Avenue to Ave.

I had this message coming up over the last few days when I tried to use US Surface Small Packet USA.  When I changed the selection to Small Packet Air, it worked okay, so it may be that with the changes coming, we can no longer use the surface small packet feature.

Thank you, it was a long name and address in Spain, which I shortened.

Plus it would not accept my "intended drop off date" as tomorrow, which is strange.
