There has already been a major announcement about live auctions run by Sotheby's.... as noted o eBay.com a few months ago
High priced... over $5,000.... in value per item.
They tried it many years ago ... but that died ..... perhaps too high priced at over $10,000 per item....

Imagine having sold 100 items... and then having to mail all very quickly.
Local live auctions do have an opportunity to have internet bidding.... However, not quite like what would occur on eBay...
