Making and offer and combined shipping not working. Over the past few weeks I have had several (4) people who had watched items, I sent them an offer and in order to purchase they had to pay for each one seperately. They tried to put into the cart with the offer price and it wouldn't work. I had immediate payment on it so I tried to cancel the immediate payment and that didn't work either. I ended up having to refund them the shipping or the offer amount on each item.
Any ideas on how to solve this or how to handle combined shipping with offers?

devon@ebay Are you able to address or clarify as to how these situations are "supposed" to work?
From speaking to other buyers and sellers they have reported that when best offer is combined shipping becomes "challenging". Unsure why this is. If it is intentional or in eBay's book an unfixable design flaw. There has never been a real attempt to address. Similar to combined shipping with eIS. It is supposed to be possible as per announcements made about 2 years ago. It just has never happened. If you do a search on the dot com forum you may find additional information on the topic as to the why. Also probably why the boilerplate answer on the topic is create a custom listing for your buyer is suggested.
Another nuance with sending offers, if you have multiples of the same item buyer can only get that offer on 1. If they send an offer to you they are allowed to specify a quantity. I just mention this in my note to buyer on the chance they may were looking for more than 1, then hope for the best.
When I have had customers buy multiple items (with best offer) from past experience I routinely had to refund after creating the label.

This is why I don't use "Immediate Payment Required". Seems to cause issues at checkout. Without it on the listings buyers are free to add things to their cart and buy them without paying - that way I can send an updated invoice with the correct amount.
I've maybe get one buyer a year that "buys" something and never follows through with payment.

This has been happening to me for months and months... ever since eBay required immediate payment for a buyer to accept an offer (immediate payment is not selected in my account), I have started threads in the dot com forum about this several times. On eBay.ca I was able to have them accept the offer and receive an invoice (and this was only happening on my dot com store), seems the problem has migrated to here too.
