May 4, 2020: another big drop in the Canada Post fuel surcharge

If you have parcels to go with Canada Post, wait until Monday before buying shipping labels to save more money.

Canada:  Fuel surcharge drops from 9% to 5% -- save 4%

USA & International -- save 2%

Priority Worldwide -- save 4.75%

Thanks for the heads up on this. I would be curious to know how quickly that information is passed on to the folks at Shippo or PayPal for updating? In checking a recent Shippo transaction any fuel surcharges are not clearly displayed on the individual invoice email. Itemizing the fees has never been a strong suit with both PayPal(2017) and Shippo. My last transaction at the end of 2019 with Snapship did show the fuel surcharge as an actual line item.

I hope they fix it, for April, at least in my post office whoever in HO entered the rates put them in backwards for non-domestic stuff, ie Tracked packet/US Expd was supposed to be 6.5%, it was charging 8.75%, expresspost USA/Int was supposed to be 8.75%, it was charging 6.5%

My PM put in a "ticket" part way into the month, no response. This is the 2nd time that has happened in the last couple years, they never fixed it last time either. At least it made the expresspost ones cheaper, but I send a lot fewer of them....
