Last month I had ONE sale, after 2 weeks I emailed the buyer (to kinda jog their memory) asking if everything was okay. I got a response; but still no feedback officially. Don't want to be 'pushy' BUT--?? how can I request some feedback from the buyer?

It seems to be important to you.
Since it matters enough to you to post here about, just be honest and ask.
You could explain that you're a new seller working hard to build an eBay presence/reputation and it would mean a lot to you.

The first reply is sound advice but you must also consider that sometimes no news is good news.
If you ask for feedback, you might receive something you do not like.
But I do get where you're coming from.
It's been a painfully slow summer for sales but my feedback for the past 30 days stands at exactly two. Two! I sold more than that as anyone who reds Feedback Left For Others can see but the number 2 makes it look like no one wants to buy from me.
I find in my category, the rate of feedback left is about 40 per cent. Recently, it has dropped to about half of that. In contrast, I leave feedback for 100 per cent of my buyers.
Do you? Leave feedback for all your buyers. Sometimes that jogs their memory. And, also remember, some buyers just cannot be bothered to leave feedback at all. They can reply to your message through their email on a mobile device but to leave feedback means going to the extra effort of logging into the ebay mobile site, opening the app, or sitting down at the computer.

I understand your position, your trying to build a reputation so Feedback is important in that respect.
But "mjwl" is right no news is good news....
From my experience Feedback percentages vary from month to month with an average being less then 30%.
Buyers either like their privacy or just can't be bothered.

It's painful, and while feedback no longer is considered by eBay, it is our method of publicizing our trustworthiness.
And feedback is also a protection against scammers, who prey on low feedback newbies.
Still.
It is better not to get feedback than to get it from an annoyed customer.

" It is something made up by eBay."
Not quite.
Way back in the last century, around 1995/1998, North American sellers started selling their "stuff" online through venues such as eBay, Amazon, Yahoo, etc.,..
ALL of them offered a ranking system based on feedback from buyers. It all made sense at the time.

Once some years ago I saw a feedback that said:
NEGATIVE: "Seller bugged me for feedback twice."

Oh, totally. I've seen feedback like that too. Red dot: "You want feedback eh? I want the item I paid for!"
