I have sold less than $700 on eBay.ca and do not need to charge sales tax under Canadian tax laws.
I have my tax fields blank for all provinces/territories, but my sales have resulted in the purchasers being charged tax.
Why is this happening?

Do not select a province when using the selling form.
No need to set up a sales tax table if you are not registered to collect sales tax.
....
First choice is for no province (empty/blank)

Just a thought, are you seeing that some of your US sales include sales taxes?
That's the "Internet Sales Tax" really just state taxes being collected by eBay (not you) from the buyer (not you) and remitted to the appropriate state (not you).
Basically these only touch you in one (bloody annoying) way, which is that eBay puts the tax on our PP invoice and then PP charges us a 3.7% fee on that tax (which again we never touch) because they are processing the whole payment, not just the part that does come to the seller.
So if you make a $100 sale to a buyer in a state with a sales tax of 5%, he will get an invoice for $105 and you will pay 30c plus $3.88 in Paypal fees for their service.

Thanks for all the replies.
My selling preferences show Üse sales tax table = NO
When I try to list a sale the Sales Tax area is there, with the provinces filled in. I cannot complete a listing without a province/and percentage filled in.
