Hey everyone whats up, Anyways I need some assistance. I got my FIRST dispute. One of the kindle ereader I sold is disabled on amazon. Buyer wants refund. Im fine with that even though I don't offer it I have no problem with refund. My problem is the dispute isn't giving me an option. Its giving me the option once he returns I refund him. But He wants me to pay shipping. Not sure how to do that in the dispute and a little bit confused.
Any idea?
Thanks a lot

He is supposed to pay the shipping, then as soon as you get it back you refund him. If you want it back - do nothing until you receive it - the ball is in the buyers court.

Whatever you do, don't refund until you receive the item back. If you do feel that you made a mistake in the listing and want to send him the money to ship the item back to you, you can do a "send money" through PayPal. However, according to eBay's rules he cannot force you to pay return shipping. However, a good seller will do so if the item has not been described correctly.
If he does open a case, make sure that you click on Return for Refund, not just refund.

Don't panic.
Its giving me the option once he returns I refund him.
That is the Standard Practice.
However, you are allowed to refund his return shipping if you want to. This is a Best Practice when the problem is due to Seller Error.
Refunding his return shipping does not guarantee that he will not neg you.
Don't do nothing!
Tell him to return the item for a 'full refund'. Do not refund until you have the item back. If you do, you will never see your money, the reader or the customer again. He has to trust you enough to send his purchase back.
New sellers are often bullied by scammers and sketchey buyers. Be calm and professional in all your contact with him.
If he does leave a neg, you may be able to get it removed. You can also add a Response to any feedback, including your own. Responses should also be calm and factual.
For example"Full refund offered but refused to return reader." puts the ball in his court.
