Is this right? I thought the GSP had a nasty carbon footprint...

It was either sent by mistake to AK or it's a phantom tracking message.
On USPS it looks like it reached AK and then the next day left AK, it's possible that it just got left on the container manifest and the AK tracking isn't actually real.
Suggest you wait for two days for the next scan to see where it actually is at that point.
The most up to date tracking will show up on USPS before it shows on Canada Post or eBay.

Thanks!
Phantom tracking and Zombie threads?
I'm gonna start sleeping with the light on!

Between phantom tracking and spoke and hub delivery this is why watching tracking is a Bad Idea.
All it does is cause anguish and anxiety.
When is delivery expected?
Where was the package supposed to go?
Apparently there is a USPS service like Canada Post's Flex Delivery which will hold packages at the post office for pickup. It has the informative name of "Hold for Delivery".
Slightly less useful than FD, because the USPS has only post offices, and no postal outlets that are open longer hours.

Thanks for the input. Somehow the comment & human nature makes watching the tracking irresistable now... ;>}

Such a hard habit to avoid though.
I needed Alka Seltzer over last Christmas.
