it's being posted to show how one sided the free listing promos actually are, the USA side gets 2-3 times more promos than the Canadian side. invite only but most are..

I wish that we still got US promos since I also list on the US site but we and I don't see how constantly pointing that out helps in any way. I agree that it does seem that the US site gets more free listing promos than we do but I don't know that for a fact as I don't keep track of ALL of the promos given on each site.

I do know that many US sellers complain that they didn't get a listing special there so I don't agree that most are invited. For all we know whenever they have a promo 10% of sellers get invited but when we have 20% get invited. IF that was the case, and I have no idea if it is, they would seem to get twice as many even though the number of sellers evens out percentage wise. Basically, unless you have more facts than I do, we don't know what the numbers are.

You are so right - have not had any free listing promos for months & months. The only promos Canadians seem to get are the percentage off selling fees or something of that nature. It would even be nice if on our auctions once in awhile they let us add a BIN for free. Nope Canadian eBay sellers are definitely not on eBay's radar.

I see the promos on the USA site as I have a partnership with a USA user. They get at least one if not 2 promos per month consistently mostly 500 for each one, while we get some % off. Someone is asleep on the Canadian side of marketing........or Canada is doing so well in sales that they do not see the need to provide us with listing promos and instead give us % off discounts.
