Question About Flat Rate Shipping Table

Hi Everyone,

A new Chit Chats branch opened in my city last week and I am able to get deeper discounts for shipping.

I have used flat rate shipping in the past when combining several items for customers and putting it in one bundled listing where I would use the flat rate table. I have not tinkered with it beyond that.

I am currently changing all my listings to reflect flat rate shipping and different items will have different shipping rates . The table is set up as generalized rates for my candles which I can’t do for my other listings as some items are smaller and weigh less.

My question is if I created a flat rate shipping price let’s say for my hand soaps, do I have to check the box for the flat rate shipping table or can I leave it unchecked and put the price in the box where it would say Canada Post standard shipping? Or do you have to click the flat rate table check box for flat rate shipping to work properly?

If you want to use a flat rate table you check mark the table (you can have more than one set up) that you want to use.

If you do not want to use any table you leave it unchecked and whatever shipping price you enter for the item will be used instead.

Thank you Dennis! As I’ve experienced that glitch with the other thread and the US customer saying I don’t ship to the US. I don’t know what to expect when they check out.
