Rec'd pay't notification from Paypal & buyer's name not the same as the name in the confirmed addres

I am wondering how I can make sure this not a hijacked acct or something. It is a small item so don't use tracked packet. Am concerned about the possibility of getting a chargeback. Seems like there are so many scams out there it is just getting to be more & more difficult to CYA. Any ideas anyone?

Compare name and address..

Paypal notification versus Sales Record on eBay.

Sales Record is found  in that  of options list under the arrow to the right in the area for each sale under My eBay

Shipping address is the same just email & buyer's name different.
Can't seem to find this sales record you are talking about. Do I go to my sold & the item then more actions on the right side? What would you look for there?

On the Sold Page... and the arrow to the right for each sale  completed

eBay is so set up that the address in the Sales record is the same as the address on Paypal for each transaction.

Keep looking... keep digging...  That is how I find things

Well I am both blonde & senior so perhaps that is the problem. LOL! I am on my sold page & the only arrow that I see on the right side is the one under print ship label which says more actions then the arrow. When I click on the arrow there are lots of things that come up but sales record is not one of them. Figure I must be on the wrong page? Thanks for the help - appreciate it.

The sales record is accessed from the sold page on selling manager, you're probably using the my ebay page which has view order details.

I'm not sure where you are seeing the two different names but often when I go to print the label I'll see one name showing on my summary page on paypal and then another name when I go to print the label. I always assumed that they are related or roommates or something like that. I've never had a problem with it.

Viewing the sold list under My eBay

The difference may be due to the fact I have Selling Manager Pro... and you do not...

If the address is the same...on eBay and then on Paypal.... then send it to the person's name on the Paypal notice 

There is nothing more I can say.

Someone else may be able to provide more information

It really means nothing, I see this frequently for a variety of reasons.

1 - You can use any name you like when you register on eBay

2 - Partner, spouse, friend possible reasons why info might be different

3 - Gift address, if the primary address is confirmed then all addresses will shows as confirmed

4 - People have multiple addresses, eg: home or school, home or office

Use Contact Buyer to ask if there is an error.

But more likely it is just another household member, especially if the addresses on PP and eBay match.

Make sure that it is understood that you are doing this for the customer's protection, just in case her account was hijacked. Although you are really doing it for your own security, cause there probably is no problem.
