So, I'm miserable at the moment with a fresh head cold or allergies or something and sitting on a pair of orders placed this morning that will go nowhere fast until Tuesday due to the statutory holiday so I was considering to procrastinate packing and dispatching the orders until tomorrow until I remembered the current ebay postage discount with Canada Post expires on July 1.

Tomorrow, it will cost more to purchase these postage labels.
Looks like I'd be smarter to do it today.
No breaks.

Can I offer you a mug of hot lemon juice and honey for your cold?

Thank you, or some cheese to accompany my whine.
I've a new order for which to buy postage today, and it's destined for a remote/rural location, so we'll soon see how painful this will be. Free shipping, of course. Everything that has sold lately with 'free shipping' has gone to a remote/northern buyer where they are certainly getting their money's worth from it. Ouch.

For Expedited the difference in Canada is around 6%
All other Canada Post services for Canada had no eBay discount.

Went on the Shippo site today to do a comparison. Expedited to the US. No change! Same price on PayPal and same price on Canada Post website. Are the changes just for shipping to Canada? Or for everywhere?
If the prices are the same on Shippo as on PayPal and Canada Post then the eBay special discount is gone.
...
The only services after January 2018 that had the eBay extra discount were Expedited Parcel (Canada or USA) and Tracked Packet USA.

Would be curious to know if dot com sellers using USPS/Fedex etc qualify for some sort of a discount and how much it could possibly be???

Oh God... I had a couple of orders too and totally forgot about that! On one, it doesn't matter, because there was no discount (small packet), but for the other, I guess I'll have to pay the full price now (tracked packet USA).
To make matters worse, I accepted a Best Offer on this one. Good thing I finally decided to counter-offer at $5 more than what I first wanted to counter for.
Why did I forget about that date? 😞

SnapShip(Canada Post) should still have the 5% Small Business discount. And when we are shipping out of Canada there is no GST to pay.

There is no difference between Snapship, Shippo or PayPal.

One small Shippo benefit, that we all hope we never have to use.
Shippo allows Canadians to buy USPS postage (and possibly also UPS/FedEx USA labels).
This means we can send return shipping labels to unhappy customers and get our disputed products back before refunding.
