Sell an expensive item to buyer in China with 0% positive?

The potential buyer only joined ebay a few days ago.  Do I, the seller, have a choice whether to accept a successful bid?

I think I'll let this auction go ahead.

Please don't.

Also, Thailand a safe destination?

Send a polite email to each of your bidders, explaining your problem with shipping. Perhaps mention that as your auction stands your shipping is much higher than necessary for swift, secure and tracked shipping. Put it as a benefit to the buyer, not necessarily to you.

Then cancel their bids.

Then cancel the auction.

Then rework the listing and use Sell Similar to update it.

Notify the previous bidders that it has been relisted if you can through eBay Messages.

Anonymous
Not applicable

As for tracked packet, some are not to certain countries, I use XpressPost for about $75.00.  Actually you should state the shipping cost as not to surprise the buyers or **bleep** them off and then they would give you negative feedback.

Good heavens! You do not have a shipping cost posted to any country except Canada. Have you investigated what that is going to cost?

AFTER the auction you are going to tag the winner with a $200-$300 shipping bill, for outside of North America?

Cancel the listings and start again. You are headed to a lot of trouble.

I see the OP has cancelled the Arca listing which had no bids, but the Hasselblad now has 7 bids.  Perhaps he doesn't know how to cancel the bids and end the listing.  OP, if you read this, come back and ask for information about how to do that if you need it.  We are here to help.

Yes! None of us want to see you lose your shirt for this. Or camera. Or money. Or enthusiasm for buying and selling on ebay......

He still thinks everything is ok by asking bidders to look up their own shipping cost. Oh well, we warned him.

Worst part is after getting burned he will blame ebay.
