Seller Ratings 4-5 Stars drop by 20 points

As of today, low and behold to my utter surprise when I looked!  CSR + Accounts are pointless as no definite explanation was offered and it even condescending to say, "its not important anymore".  I never seen the ratings drop only rise over time. Last time I checked, about a month ago, it was sitting just over 90 for each.

Anyone know?

If you are talking about detailed seller rating that is for the last 12 months. You must have had a lot of sales 12 months ago that dropped off.

I see. it dropped around March of this year. actually I have had lots of buyers not bothering to leave detailed FBs up to this Month. Hence, this drop figure is not an actual representation of it. I don't know why Ebay bothers to even include this type of evaluation when it clearly stated now that its not part of evaluating the the seller's performance at all.

Side note- I should have clean feedback score if not for this disgruntled buyer who made two attempts to file a dispute against me and failed twice. One on Ebay and One on Paypal. Ebay didn't grant my request to remove the unwarranted negs. Go figure.

How many Canadian sellers had reduced business during the last years mail strike? Makes it difficult to sell when you don't have access to reliable postal service and then factor the time it took for business to return to some sort of normal. This will definitely have an effect on a large number of seller's status.

Agreed, another good reason for eBay to ignore feedback and DSRs as criteria for evaluating seller accounts.

We were promised by tyler@ebay that we would be protected against some fallout from the postal disruption. Fingers and toes crossed.
