Hi, all of our listings have stopped calculating to the USA all of a sudden. And to most other countries as well it seems.
We received three emails overnight asking why we do not ship to the US. One repeat customer sent us a screenshot showing that it's saying that we 'Do not ship to the US' (she was on her phone).
Is anyone else experiencing this problem? We're using Canada Post calculated shipping options, and all parcels meet the size and weight criteria (21x14x10, for example).
Certainly explains a slow down in sales!
Any feedback would be appreciated.

Yes, it is all part and parcel of the same problem.
Maybe we could combine these into a single thread. If that might be helpful, I don't know. Maybe with tags that hit all three targets? @happy_pigeon

This seems to have been an issue/frustration on eBay dot ca for awhile now,(maybe as far back as 2013). I contacted them several months ago and was told they were looking into it. Next time I called I was told it had been escalated but they still didn't have a solution. It seems that instead of making it better they've just made it worse with more new problems.
Now when requesting a rate for multiple of an item(Especially for US customers) for tracked packages it just doubles the rate for 2 , triples for 3.... When it will display. In most cases this would make the item pkg weight over the limit for tracked service. Definitely not a valid calculation.
It is still offering a rate for light package to USA when setting up a listing even though that service has been obsoleted by Shippo. For now all you can do is advise customers (if by that point they haven't decided to go elsewhere) that if they have any issues with the calculator to email for a correct rate.
System consolidates shipments automatically for multiple purchases of an item to same customer even when paid separately and even though customer has specified multiple packages to reduce duties/taxes and will not let you over-ride. You should have option to combine or ship separately .
The list goes on!!!
My new solution. Create listing....PRAY!!!

I don't remember this particular problem from that long ago but it has been quite while and I don't understand how something like this go could on for so long. I first heard about it months ago....perhaps longer....but seemed to be limited to the French Canadian site but obviously its now found its way here.
Has anyone from ebay confirmed that they are actually working on fixing this?

I have been using Calculated Shipping on ebay.ca since early 2013 without fail. This is the first time it's gone and gotten so severely screwed up. I don't know what to suggest. This is not normal.

Shipping calculator disappears entirely on about 100+ of my 250 listings. These listings are now just sitting without calculable shipping rates and will be pushed to the bottom of the list for buyers. This is a seriously grave error that I hope eBay is fixing as fast as possible. I've called them twice but no solution yet.
I've discovered what causes the error is selecting Canada Post Small Packet International Air or Small Packet International Ground. Removing this option returns the calculator to the page and functions normally. Although this isn't a good enough solution as most of us need to be able to ship worldwide by Small Packet International.

It may be that revising the listing causes things to return to functional but removing those particular services is a red herring. None of my affected listings offer either of those that as a postage option.

I relisted an item this morning because it sold to a buyer in Italy overnight. (I had another in stock.) The same 'no rates' problem occurs with this new listing.
Given my sales to the USA and overseas remain the same as always, I'm not seeing this is frightening away buyers for my BIN items at the moment. I had overnight sales to Italy and USA, neither of which work for postage costs when you look at this item, regardless of whether it's viewed on ebay.ca, ebay.it or ebay.com: I just checked all three and no costs at all are shown until the item goes into the Shopping Cart.
So, my fear with this is that it's not a 'glitch' at all but some manner of 'improvement' whereby ebay has decided that putting shipping costs upfront on the Item Page are a distraction to buyers. And that they want buyers to put things into the Shopping Cart to calculate postage. They just unceremoniously removed the number of Watchers shown on the item page, the Spring Seller Update looms..... speculation on my part.

Not sure if it will help but when I contacted eBay the 2nd time about this issue, was given the following Reference # 1-145074229840. Wondering if there is 1 ticket for this item or several. Maybe it would speed up to process to give eBay one of these ticket #'s when calling in to complain.
Just a thought!!!

Good idea. We should all ask for reference numbers when we call and cite them when we call back.
