My postal outlet had the P stamps yesterday. I had DH buy 3 rolls of them. Today CP pulled all of them from the outlet.

Interesting. Friends who run a Postal Outlet have complained in the past that Canada Post will not take stamps back when they have over ordered.
(They have some philatelic customers who pick up new issues from them. And they gambled a bit on the Royal Wedding and Christening stamps.)

RNS,
Why do you find WSG's experience interesting? I'm not surprised Canada Post refuses to take back stamps they've already sold to an RPO. The RPO can always use them up as they never lose their face value.
What is pathetic of course is the lengths to which CP will go to stem their losses: frantically trying to block any further sales of "Permanent" stamps. The pettiness is mind-boggling but it shows how desperate is their financial situation.
I was at my local Costco today and managed to buy 3 100-stamp rolls of Permanent stamps @ $59.99 each + tax.

Wow that is a big jump .. thanks a bunch as always helping the fellow man ...
I know my outlet always uses the printed labels and it goes pretty fast 100 parcels take them about 15minutes.. I was told they make more money printing labels then selling stamps ... this is not a post office just a corner store with Cp outlet..
I am not looking forward to moving next year as my outlet now i walk in with my parcels seperated by weight and a paper with number of parcels in each weight and they just go off of that so they do not weigh anything because i pre way and after 3 years they trust me ..
going to miss that when i move
