Buyer made a purchase 2 1/2 weeks ago, no payment, so I filed for non-payment after 12 days. Yesterday, the 5 day when I could have closed it, the payment arrived. Fine, thanked buyer, told her I would mail right away, when to expect it etc.
Just got an email, when was it mailed? Really? When you take 17 days to pay, and now you question me as to when it was mailed.

I've had a few of those lately too 😞

The next couple weeks are the "grumpy season" - everyone's getting their Xmas credit card bills........ have hope though: "blow your income tax refund" season will soon be upon us! 🙂

Actually I would refund the payment and said sorry it was way overdue and passed with the closed dispute of unpaid item and put him on the block list. Not worth hassle like him asking "when it was mailed?"!

Blocked Bidder List for sure.
And as a takeaway, in future a polite reminder on Day Three and UID on Day Four.
If a buyer has a credit card, he has no excuse for not paying promptly.
As for the impatient buyer, didn't Dennis Leary have a popular song about him a few years ago?

What for? It's a valid question. Buyer forgot about his purchase then remembered and paid. Not everyone's life revolves around ebay.
Setup Unpaid Item Assistant and forget about it. It will file disputes and close them automatically. Takes care of 95% of issues. Only once I had a troll who did not pay, unpaid item assistant opened dispute, troll requested cancellation and then denied it. Obviously, THAT ONE is on my BBL 🙂 Blocking customers for asking when it was mailed means you are burnt out and need a vacation.

I recently had a buyer who asked, if she bought an item, if I would wait 2 weeks for payment to which I agreed. She finally paid today, 20 days later, after an UID was opened.
