Do NOT charge buyers taxes unless you are registered to collect and remit taxes. Revenue Canada gets grouchy about that.

I honestly am not sure how it works but if the item was shipped from the U.S. via USPS, how would customs know that taxes had already been paid on it? I realize that tax and duties can be prepaid but it's unlikely that the OP is going to hire a broker to set that all up.
