What is the Limit for Seller Protection

I know this has been covered here numerous times, but I can't recall the limit before one has to switch to signed for shipping for coverage.

I know it's around $650 but is that US or Canadian $.

The item I have to ship is right around the cut off point.

I always assume the amount is in the lower of the two currencies, because of Murphy's Law.

Consider this. The customer has paid a considerable sum. When my customers do, I upgrade all levels of service. It becomes not about protecting me, it is about protecting them.

The customer wants tracking info, wants to know where it is, wants to know it is packaged properly, wants to know they will get it in good order.

It is all about the customer.

The cut off is $750 American, not Canadian.

I shipped Expedited with insurance and I'm pretty sure anything extra would have been a waste of money.

The cost was still over $40.
