Why some seller have the right to miscategorize their listing?

Hi,

along a some different product I sell are retro video game manual.

I mistakenly listed the first few one under the category "Video Game" and got quickly corrected by ebay, listing got unlisted as miscategorize so I corrected the listing and listed them under "Manuals, Inserts & Box Art".

For a reason I'm not sure about, when I've relisted these few listing from my unsold list they got relisted as Video game back again (overwrite my change) so again Ebay quickly delisted them and I had to re-correct and relist them.

It's obvious that Ebay have a good control over MY listing but not so much on other seller listing as most of the manual listed on Ebay are under "video game".

As a result I'm punish to do the right thing, if a buyer does a search under video game my listing won't show up.

Worst, if the buyer does a search without specify "manual" my listing doesn't show up as they are considered "not relevant" per Ebay.

I am a monthly fixes fee paying seller ($80 per month for 1000 listing) and I'm a top rate seller but it seems not enough to be "relevant".

What can I do to have the same right as the other seller?

Are you using the Simplified Sell Your Item form that eBay gives newbie sellers?

It has lots of gaps and glitches.

One is that it will revert to the original (incorrect) listing when the listing is renewed.

Another is that eBay will pre-emptively stick Best Offer on your listing after a week or so.

You should be able to switch to the Advanced form which doesn't have those problems. Look in the top right hand corner of your form.

Take your time. There is a learning curve and it is steep.
