Will ebay ever stop selling bootlegs?

Someone shared a link of a bootleg DVD of Squid Game, a popular Netflix show right now. If you search "Squid Game DVD" or "Squid Game Blu ray", you will be able to see a good amount of the bootleg items. How many people don't know these are bootlegs since it's from Netflix? Some even blatantly lie about the copy as a licensed item. This is only the tip of the iceberg. I've found out that there are tons of illegal copies of Netflix shows and anime in ebay.  This is why many people still believe that there are more fakes than the originals in ebay. I reported those bootlegs copies, and ebay did take them down, but then it doesn't seem to stop them from relisting the items again. I know ebay and moral obligation don't see each out eye to eye, but they shouldn't let people list and relist those bootleg items in the first place.

My question was censored when I raised the issue on a live Q&A during the 2021 eBay Open regarding Chinese sellers adversiting aftermarket Made in China car parts as being Genuine OEM in the eBay Motors - Parts & Accessories.

Just 2 days ago, I couldn't wrap my head around the pricing offered on a "Genuine OEM" "Made in Germany" BMW part until I realized the part was not authentic and the seller was located in China despite falsely providing some NY address as item location. He has a flood of negative feedback after astute buyers realize what they actually bought is not what was adversited but yet still carries on business. There are other examples in almost every category.

These are high volume sellers, very profitable for eBay and the commissions generated probably outweigh the reputational risk for them; that's why I don't foresee this problem going away.
