a discussion on the .COM boards:

Will this process also apply to .CA MP sellers?

If this does apply to dot ca as expressed by dot com curious to know what shipping service eBay will be automagically approving without the seller having any kind of say in the matter. Eventually? Most likely!! Will it be shipping service for reciprocal similar service or service for premium service? Definitely concerning for International transactions or for sellers that send most items by letter type mail.

When we use an untracked service like LetterMail or Small Packet, we can't prove delivery anyway.
So the question becomes moot.
Will eBay be willing to take the buyer's word for untracked return shipping since they won't (or I guess we should give them the benefit of can't) take the seller's word for untracked shipping in the first place.
We're into Cookie Jar Insurance territory.

[ebay will] automatically accept return requests and provide a return shipping label to a buyer wishing to return an item IF an eBay label is available.
I do not see this change happening for ebay.ca until the promised ebay shipping labels program is up and running.

As far as I can tell the process isn’t that much different than it has been for US sellers for quite a while. It hasn’t been the same here because there is no eBay.ca shipping platform to automatically issue labels. Perhaps once we can buy labels directly on eBay the return system here will change to be similar to the US one.

If you read the FAQ it states that international transactions aren’t included. It also says that the shipping service will not cost more than the original service if the original label was done through eBay labels however, that could differ here.
