Extend your reach beyond eBay with Promoted Offsite

Your ad campaign has ended or been paused. To continue promoting your listings and boosting your sales potential, reactivate your campaign or launch a new one.

Anyone knows, what's going on?
I noticed a sudden drop in promoted sales. Usually 50-70% of my items sold as promoted.
Since a week or so, NONE sold as promoted.

It seems they ask us us to promote already promoted listing? 🙄

It says "Your ad campaing has ended or paused" What? I never ever started any campaign at all.

I have been running alternating promotions for awhile now. My current promotions are "still" running as scheduled. As for sales of promoted items they seem to come through in dribs and drabs. I will get several in a row and then nothing for a few weeks. Recently sales (Sept) have dropped off the cliff....again. I have noticed when several promotions end and if I do not start new ones my traffic tanks.

As far as it goes for promoting "if" the vast majority of sellers are promoting their listings in practice they are all fighting against each other for the same real estate. Next to impossible for everyone to be first. Throw in a competing seller promoting at one of the insane rates that eBay suggests (they keep appearing to be higher and higher %'s each time I run a new promotion) your lower one gets buried at the bottom of the search pile. Basically eBay's idea of seller whackamole challenge.

My thoughts are eBay is rotating sellers promoted listings in and out of the search results causing for the sporadic sales most sellers are seeing. Whether they want to admit it or not. On a secondary competing front I currently have 43 MIA AWOL listings when I compare my Sellers Hub page to my what a buyer sees. I created 1 new listing yesterday. That listing was searchable a few mins after listing. My what a buyer doesn't see increased by 2 immediately. Huh?? Indexing Schmindexing. Something else is going on under the hood that the powers that be refuse to admit to. As mentioned previously I am not the only seller with these MIA listings. (If it is indexing that number would be constantly floating vs staying the same for days in a row.

As a side why can't promoted fees under transactions be included as a separate dropdown to make monitoring those fees/transactions easier? Doing that from get go should have been a no brainer.

Tree falls in the forest question for you. Totally tongue in cheek. Pretty sure I know the answer.

Do you know if your item sells via a promoted offsite find does that count as an eBay promoted sale?

No idea, but all items sold via promoted have a "Sold via Promoted Listing" mention.

BTW, the above mentioned weird message DISAPPEARED 😃

Probably it caused too much confusion and other people complained, too 😄
