blocked bidder

How and when does a bidder discover that he/she  has been blocked? Are they unable to place a bid or even set up a bid for a later time? Are they given a notice by eBay that they have been blocked? Thanks for any info.

they will know once they try placing a bid. They will then receive a notice that they have been blocked from bidding on your items

They will not know they are blocked until they try to bid or buy an item and are told then that they are blocked.
