so a buyer bought and paid on monday, and i shipped tuesday morning. today i get a return request. reason is they changed their mind, and said they haven't received it yet.. well delivery will be monday -wednesday next week..

so i messaged the seller and said i will make an exception and accept the return..it is silver bullion, so i don't have to accept returns on it..

i told them once i have received and inspected the coins, i will issue a full refund for the purchase price, however i am not responsible for refunding either shipping..

now is there anything i am missing, or should be doing.. the return request says i need to answer by the 15th.

1. do i need to click on it that i accept the return.??

2. will i have to refund any shipping if i accept the return.?

3. can the buyer leave negative feedback because they have to pay to return item,?

4. am i missing anything here..

Nothing will happen with the return if you don't acknowledge it unless the buyer asks eBay to step in after that date. I'm not totally sure how I would handle it as it looks to be a higher end sale. IF you do click on return for refund you won't have to refund until the tracking number shows as being delivered to you. Any return that I have done lately has given me the option of refunding the full amount or the amount less shipping so the same thing should happen in this situation.

What does this buyer's feedback look like.

It is a perfect scam. Wait till shipped,then send back garbage when they receive it. Eternal pessimist but have to look at all sides.

Keep the message that says the buyer changed his mind.

He is required to pay shipping in Buyer Remorse situations.

I'm not sure what happens when the buyer just refuses the package.

Eventually it gets back to you, and since he refuses it he can't pull a switch, but I'm not sure if you have to pay return postage, which would affect the amount of the refund.

Do you use Free Shipping ( shipping included in asking price)?

so the buyer has refused delivery, and the items are on the way back to me.. i have responded to the buyer that they are responsible for any return shipping charges...what a pain..
