No, but you can signup on Ebay.com and sell in US dollars there. You also get their 50 Free listings a month. I place my best 50 items on Ebay.com in US dollars, and the rest on Ebay.ca in Canadian dollars.

Certainly.

Any seller anywhere in the world can list on any eBay site.

If you want to sell in US dollars, you do have to list on the only site that uses US dollars --eBay dot COM.

Note that you will be restricted to using Flat Rate Shipping, so if your items are over 2cm thick and 500 grams, you will run into problems, since such shipments must move by Parcel Post, and those services include weight, dimensions and DESTINATION in the criteria for the fee.

If you will be selling LPs again, you should be fine. Depends on the packaging.

Here are the current rates :

https://www.canadapost.ca/cpotools/apps/far/business/findARate?execution=e1s1

On the dot COM Sell Your Item Form, scroll down to find the Flat Rate Shipping from and International Location, to insert your shipping fee.

BTW- if you are shipping to the USA, and your buyer is Seaching on dotCOM, he will see your prices in US dollars.

Same with overseas, a German customer would see your prices in euros on dotDE, in loonies on dotCA, and in US dollars on dotCOM.

On the actual listing he will see the asking price in both the currency of listings (eg loonies) and the currency of the site (eg USD).

With the rise of the Global Shipping Program, I have found a small rise in the number of overseas customers who may be avoiding US sellers and the GSP (spit spit spit).

Oh yes-- if your buyer pays in US dollars, you can set up your Paypal account to accept USdollars if you have an account with a US bank.

The RBC and TD Canada Trust have subsidiaries in the USA which offer that service to Canadians. This is NOT the same as a US dollar account in a Canadian bank.

Any Paypal account can accept US dollars if they choose to, no special bank account required. I think that you are referring to if the person wants to 'withdraw' the money from Paypal in US currency...then a US bank account is needed.
