eBay and the seller don't answer.

Hello,

I opened a request since 14/02/2019 and I didn’t recieve any answer or any help with eBay until now, about a full refund as compensation of an item

So, I want a solution to that.

Best Regards,

The first suggestion in an eBay Dispute is to contact the seller.

If the seller does not respond, you  make the next step, ask eBay to step in and Escalate to a Claim.

Depending on the type of Claim, eBay will then send instructions to the seller and to you.

Not As Described- the seller sends the buyer return postage with tracking  and the buyer returns the item. On Proof  of Delivery, the Buyer is refunded.

Not Received- the seller is required to submit Proof of Delivery. If he does not do this within the deadline eBay gives him, the Buyer is refunded.

You are also covered by Paypal's Buyer Protection and the chargeback policy of the card you back your PP account with.

Thanks for your Reply.
But, How can I ask eBay to step in and Escalate to a Claim ?
Concerning the Paypal's Buyer Protection that you mentioned, I don't use Paypal in the buy, it's just a MasterCard.

Hi @rachinai-6 - our Money Back Guarantee is good for 30 days from the estimated delivery date.

If the seller involved in this transaction is not responding and it has passed that time your better option is to work with PayPal (the payment processor for your transaction) or directly with your financial institution or card issuer. Thanks!

eBay and the seller don't answer.

EBay only accepts Disputes for 30 days after the last estimated date for delivery.

Did you open your Dispute within that window?

If not, nothing will happen until the window opens.

When it does, you can go to the open Dispute and Escalate.

It's a button/link.

If the seller cannot prove delivery (not shipping , delivery) you will be refunded.

If the 30 day window has closed, go instead to your card and phone the 1-800 number on the back. Ask about a chargeback.

Normally, the second level of Buyer Protection would be Paypal, but since you are not comfortable with them, just go right to the card.

Did you open an Item not received case or a return request?

If it was an item not received case, what was the last estimated delivery date?

If it was a return request, when did you receive the item?

Yes, I opened an item not received case. The last estimated delivery date is not specified, but It has been more than 60 days since I did not receive my item.

It’s unusual that there is no estimated delivery date but even if there wasn’t one, you only have a certain amount to open a case on eBay. It sounds like you may have opened it after that time. If that’s the case, you’ll have to open an item not received case on PayPal or with your credit card company.

So, how can I open an item not received case with my credit card company (MasterCard) ?

eBay and the seller don't answer.

On the back of the card or on your monthly bill there is a 1-800 number for Customer Service.

Phone.

The clerk will need the date of purchase, the currency and amount of the payment, the transaction number for the purchase (probably), the date of shipping if any, the tracking number if any.

The best reason for going through eBay and PP is that they have most of this information already in the eBay transaction number.

So, this is the solution that remained for me if the seller did not respond ?
And what about your Money Back Guarantee if the last estimated delivery date is not specified ?

We're not eBay employees -- those do respond here, but identify themselves.

We're members like you- perhaps with more experience.

If the delivery date is not specified,  the estimated delivery date is considered as being 30 days after the sale for international sales and 7 days after the sale for domestic sales. You have 30 days after those days to open a case so a total of 60 days for an international sale and 37 for a domestic sale if there is no delivery date.   You haven't told us when the purchase was or where the seller was located so I'm just guessing that you opened a case after the 30 days was up.  If it was within the 30 days and the seller didn't respond, there should have been a link for you to ask ebay to step in.   If the case was opened late, I have no idea if the ask ebay to step in link appears but since you don't see one..I assume that it doesn't appear in that circumstance.
