Even now, I still enjoy selling on ebay.
The last couple of years have been a challenge, glitches galore, missing photos, slower sales, way more work, but there have been a few positives that makes selling here worthwhile. Most Canadian sellers already know the issues they have had to deal with lately, at least ebay tries to help sellers.
Getting rid of PayPal is a scary thought, considering how well the site runs at times.
An example of poorly done IT, is also one I and others have brought up. I have no problem with ebay putting a note on a listing that has not sold for 16 months. The fact that ebay wants the seller to revise the listing is also fine, if revising took down the note. Since revising does not get rid of the note, I no longer care.
Now the note is showing up on items I just sold multiples of, so obviously the program is now broken. It seems that any listing over 16 months old, sales or no sales is fair game when it comes to the program.
Thanks for reading, end of rant, please add whatever you feel is on your mind.
PS- We ALL want ebay to succeed, the fact that they do occasionally listen to us, is a huge positive.

I agree that Wall Street does seem to be a necessary evil at times, the epitome of short term thinking. The Company I spent 44 years at, was taken over by KKR, and was never the same after that.
Another glitch that doesn't seem to be brought up very often, is the one where the excluded countries list, will change on the listing, without any input from the seller. Am I the only one, or have any of you folks encountered this happening to your listings.
I usually tick the whole region, then manually untick the countries that I want to ship to. For some strange reason, some of my listings included Iran, Kuwait, Iraq and a few more, when I know there is no way I would ever ship to those countries. Scary indeed!

Well since no one else has seen any changes to their excluded list happen, it must have been my mistake, and not a glitch.
How often do you check your list(s),
Whenever you re-list an item?
Whenever you use sell similar?
Whenever you revise the listing?

I recall that happening to me once or twice. It wasn't a random thing though. The first time my list of Excluded Countries changed, it was when ebay was pushing shipping to China and/or Russia so that on one Saturday only when I was busy listing things, all my new listings or relisted items or Sell Similar items defaulted to shipping to Russia and/or China. I caught it before any sold.
The other time my list of Excluded Countries changed was after the one time I tired using another listing through Sell Yours to create mine and that other seller's ship-to locations overwrote my own settings. I was unable to get a clear answer afterwards if that was a glitch or the way Sell One Like This is supposed to work.
