Sometime in the Summer my mother in law shipped something in Canada.  When it never arrived she contacted to post office and they told her that the truck containing her parcel was in an accident on the 401 and they didn't know where her package was.  She didn't purchase extra insurance (item was $30) and so she was told she was out of luck.....not sure what will happen here...

Mary and I were on our way from Napanee to Quebec to visit family and witnessed Canada Post workers picking up mail on the highway and in the ditch before 11am Saturday - in the westbound lanes between Kingston and Brockville. The 401 was backed up for quite a while and westbound traffic redirected to highway 2.

 

By the time we returned yesterday, everything seemed to be cleaned-up.

Supposedly all mail recovered and back on route.  Both drivers critical though
