"Volume discount" sale, how do buyers know what items are on sale?

I just started a "volume discount" sale on 500 items (the max).

NOTE this is on .COM

I can see when a buyer goes into a multi item listing it tells them the various volume discounts (which will never work because they won't want to buy multiples of the same item of mine). If I go into an item of only count 1, it doesn't show anything.

I can't see where a buyer can see a list of all the items I have a multi-item discount on it.

What I want them to do is buy multiple items from the list of 500 I started, as far as I  know I set things up so if they buy multiple items out of the 500 they receive the buy 2 or 3 or 4 item discount levels....I expected it to show up in my store as a "sale" kind of thing, but I don't see anything (yet, maybe it takes a while for it to show up).

Anyone have more experience than me running these?

Today I check again and as before, if there are multiple items left I see the various discount levels, but if it is count 1, nothing shows in the listing and nothing shows in my store as a "sale" or "promotion" or whatever might entice people to look at the list.

I'll maybe call in later to the CSRs to get educated...

I checked .CA and it doesn't look like we can do it in .CAland yet....

I called it in, another great CSR as usual, and here's how the buyers see it:

When they put one of the items in the promotion (that is quantity of 1) into their shopping cart they are prompted with the notification that if they buy more items in the volume discount group they can save money, and there is a link that brings up the other 499 items in my volume discount list (I ran the maximum number of 500) that they can click on.

Of course this is only good so far in .COMland so far.

Are they easy to spot for someone looking at your listings? Too bad its dot com currently. Personally for me I just wish Send Offers on dot ca worked like it does on dot com.

No, they can't see them at all until they put the first one in the shopping cart.

It does not work/look like the "markdown/sale" stuff.

I will see if it does anything or not....
