why did ebay remove my positive feedback for a buyer?

Quite often, when dealing with a newbie, I leave positive feedback such as "I see an ebay legend in the making!" or " I sense a new ebay powerhouse" etc. etc.

I've just gone back over some of the feedback that I left like that and it's all been removed by ebay...

What's up with that?  Is it illegal to leave positive feedback now?

you can't please these guys, no matter how hard you try.

They do sound like false positives. It is a stretch, but, that is all I can figure.

Re: why did ebay remove my positive feedback for a buyer?

Have the buyers in question been NARUed.

I believe if a member who has been here less than 90 days

is NARUed then all feedback given and received is removed.

NARU = Not A Registered User = someone who has been kicked out of eBay.

Re: why did ebay remove my positive feedback for a buyer?

The official eBay policy states:

If a member is suspended within 90 days of registration, all Feedback left by that member is removed.

http://pages.ebay.ca/help/policies/feedback-removal.html

I do not think it applies in this situation.

Someone who closed his account by himself can also be NARU.

yes but it takes a long time for eBay to  close an account at the request of a user.
