Hi. I am a newer seller. I noticed that the first few shipping labels I printed Shippo gave me a discount on the prices. The last label I printed today cost $31.73 to the US - texas and I did not receive any discount. What are the rules for the discounts - only on certain days of the week? only high volume sellers? only sellers with stores get discounts? is it just random? i can't figure this out! Any info would be appreciated. - Thanks
Sherie

The discount is based on your Canada Post small business level and the percentage varies for different services but is available whenever you print a label. Right now Canada Post is giving a larger discount than usual for packages within Canada so that discount can be more noticeable.
Are you saying that you didn't get a discount because you were charged the same amount on your label as the buyer paid? I'm just wondering what numbers you are comparing to know that you didn't get a discount.
What were the dimensions and weight of the package? Are you sure they were identical on both the listing form and the label info? Expedited parcel uses dimensional pricing so if you are dimensions changed, that would affect the price.

The rate your customer is seeing is based on the counter rate along with any handling charge you may be adding. With your small business account it gives you access to Expedited (I include both reg/expedited in my listings to give my customers a comparison) for Canada at basically the same rate as regular with tracking and slightly quicker service(Service time is varying because of Covid 19). Not sure how PayPal shipping is showing the options but as far as I know the only place you will see the amount of discount is if you are logged into your small business account in canadapost. (Either with creating shipments or checking rates.) I use Shippo which displays the options but without the discount being visible. Any discount(difference) is profit for your pocket or you can refund to your customer at your discretion.)

PS. For your shipment that was $31.73 did you try a rate check at the Canadapost site(Not signed in) to see options available with prices?
