eBay Canada is pleased to announce an expansion of our Authenticity Guarantee for eligible brands over $100. Starting November 10th, buyers in the US are able to buy authenticated sneakers, both new & pre-owned, from Canadian sellers.
Previously, sneakers sold in Canada would only go through eBay’s authentication centre if the buyer was based in Canada, as well.
This will significantly expand potential customers for Canadian sellers, improve trust, and offer additional protection to sellers.
eBay currently covers the second leg of the item’s shipping journey from the authentication centre to its destination anywhere in the United States or Canada. Buyers in the United States will be responsible for any taxes or duties for their purchase.
