I know that I will be advised to give the refund to protect my Feedback. What I really want to know is, how often does this happen! She now wants her money back or a replacement after 2 months, with no prior notice to me! She will even give me a new address to send it to. She didn't even pay for optional insurance! I just replied by asking her when she moved, if she had a mail re-direct and why she has not contacted me before this. Her feedback is well over 100 so she knows. I do believe that 99.9% of ebayers are honest. But, there is always one that makes you stop and think for a moment. Thanks for listening :0)

well, is it 100% positive realy important to you? Or are you OK with 99.9%? If you don't mind the 0.1%, then don't give in.

If the buyer knew she was moving and didn't contact you to get the package sent to the correct address or didn't re-direct her mail, its her fault. Two months is a long time. Sounds like another of those people who get + feedback for a purchase and demand their money back even though they got the item. Don't give into this buyer, it sounds a little fishy. You might get a - but put a comment with - the feedback.

This could be a patient buyer also! I wait 6 weeks before I get concerned about an item. I HATE emails from buyers a week after payment saying item hasn't arrived yet. If she didn't get it, refund her, she paid for it!

She didn't even pay for optional insurance! As far as I'm concerned insurance is not an option. I include insurance in all my shipments. When you give the buyer the option they feel like they're paying extra for the insurance. If you just add it into your S+H charges without bringing any attention to it the buyer just accepts it. This way we're both protected.

Its easy to include insurance if your item is big and not too expensive. But when your item is around 100 grams and several hundreds of dollars, then its next to impossible.

gifts of elegance,

I regularly insure lettermail for over $100. I use www.dsiinsurance.com. I also got a competitive quote from www.u-pic.com but it was not as good a fit for me.

No matter what you sell on Ebay. You do not make insurance optional. I do not send any items without insurance. Its a protection for the seller and buyer. I would suggest to track package and see if it was delivered.

I think that after 3 months she can't leave feedback... Would someone confirm that?

Get her to fill out the right form for lost mail (basically signing off on the fact that she didn't get it, with the threat of fraud charges if she is lying). If you sent it small packet with canada post then you have up to $100 CAN insurance.

However if you sent it just regular mail, then you have to decide.

I decided long ago that if I was saving on the postage and not paying for the insurance, replacing or refunding one or two a year was just going to be a business expense. I save on the postage, and part of that saving went to customer relations.

Good luck,

Buck

Nope, it is usually much longer than that provided you have the item number.
