A seller that we contacted regarding returns says to contact ebay

We contacted a seller in regards to the quality of the ordered product. Their response was as follows, " you can contact ebay for returning. and say you will pay the shipping cost by your post system for returning.

How would I go about that?

I am going to assume you are not happy because the quality is not good or what you thought, in that matter, it is not up to ebay.

 

Have you asked the seller for something specific ie) refund, partial refund?

 

I think what you want/expect should be communicated. If the buyer does not attempt to rectify the issue to your satisfaction THEN You would involve ebay.

 

I hope it works out for you. I know from experience (both sides) it can be very frustrating
