Hi All - Just wondering if anyone else got suspicious emails from "PayPal" in the past 24 hours. Got 2 early this morning. The first was from "PayPal Account Specialists" and the second "PayPal.com". In the subject line it said something about needing additional info. My email program sent both directly to the Junk Mail folder which raised a red flag immediately. As well my email software does not open any thing sent to it, as I believe it is now possible to be infected by simply viewing an email. I did not open either one for that reason.
I checked my PayPal account and it was fine with no messages from them. So I'm wondering if I should forward them to PayPal or just delete them? Anyone else get these?

You should always forward these suspicious emails to PayPal. They investigate and reply promptly.

I did forward to PayPal spoof email address and received a reply that it was indeed a "Phishing" attempt. So heads up to everyone to be careful when receiving bogus email.

In any such situation, whether Paypal or eBay.
Go directly to your account and see if there is anything really wrong.
Never respond to an email directly...
Only respond through your account... and respond only if there is a REAL problem
and only through your account

I am also getting multiple emails about Policy Updates which I have forwarded to spoof@ paypal.com. I will let you know what they say because when I logged into Paypal direct, there are no updates that I can find.

Lithium of course changed stuff when I copied and pasted due to HTML, but you should get the drift of the email.

This morning I received 3, yes 3 what I'm sure are phishing emails from Paypal. I admit I did click on one, which I guess I should not have, but they looked SO authentic - I know....but why 3?:

Of course I didn't do it from the email, but went into my account and it said I'm 60% something - in that they have my credit card but they were asking for bank accounts, etc. No way, I'm waiting until 8:00 a.m. CST time when I can speak directly to Paypal. What the heck? I wanted to change my password but on this ol' machine it doesn't look like there is anywhere to do it, I tried what paypal said on Google.

Of course I checked my account and everything is o.k. but really want to change password I think - anyway I'll ask paypal.
Lawdy lawd.....the other day, as soon as I got into internet, it had a tiny box saying "You have been hacked by the Syrian Army" - closed it of course and went straight to my banking and everything is o.k. there. What the heck is going on.

Just an update - spoke with Paypal - these particular ones are originating in Hong Kong and they've had SO many of them - sent off to their spoof place. Everything AOK in my account and really pleasant guy showed me a different way to change my password.
Just because I'm worth millions everyone wants my money, plus the Syrian Army probably wants to recruit me for ISIS!
