AdCommerce are your ads showing up? Mine are not.

I only use category based ads, the ones that show up at the bottom of the category. I don't have searchable ones.

As of a couple days ago, I don't see mine or anyone elses (yours either Pierre) showing up at the bottom of the category list. Nothing at all. (Pierre you used to have one under /home/buy/stamps/worldwide/collections, lots as well as others like this, not sure if you still do?)

I did do a search on a keyword and I did see an adcommerce ad at the bottom so those appear to work.

I'm wondering if something is broken with the category based ones?

I called eBay support, that was pointless, they didn't see it either but didn't know anything about them anyway. They told me to send my concern to the adcommerce email id. I did that but I'll be surprised if I hear anything back.

How about other users, are you seeing the same? Pierre, anyone else?

(Mine says "Hoards of stamps are here" if anyone else is able to see it)

Same here, ours are not showing up either although we supposedly got 2,600 impressions today.

THX for mentioning the hits, I am also mysteriously getting hits, despite no ads showing up, maybe people know to click on the place where my ad would have been!

My "retirement sale" ads (all "stamps" categories and sub-categories) are running on .com and I can see them (when signed in under a different ID).

The number of impressions and hits reported are more or less in line with recent history (yesterday was a low day). I average 300,000 impressions and 100+ hits daily. Yesterday was only 215,279 impressions 82 clicks.

I also run different ad campaigns on .au, .uk and .ca and all show up. Keep in mind NOT every page will show the ad every time.

Hmmm very interesting indeed! Pierre, I noted your point about checking from a different ID. I didn't see any, including yours until I signed out, and signed in again as a different id. Then all are visible, yours and mine and someone elses. I signed out of the other id and back in with mine and to my wonderment, I see everything now under my id! This stuff must have been written by the same guy who wrote the code that tells me on my dashboard that I got 0% disount each month for the last few months (in reality I have gotten the TSR discount each month).

So I guess the "fix" is to either just sign out and sign back in again or sign into another id and out again and all will be well again!

Good thing we have this board, no response back from the adcommerce support folks of course!

Something interesting has happened,

As opposed to before, I cannot see our ads when logged in. However, when I log in under a different ID, the ad now shows.

And the good part is that it shows top right, just like Google.... marvelous!

On .ca they show top right and on .com they still show at the bottom.

The ad does show when I am logged into the main account on .ca. I was looking at the bottom but the ad is on top. However, when logged into .com. the ad does not show.

I think I've found the answer.

Go to your preferences page - they've added a new section,

Change your participation in eBay's AdChoice program.

Mine was set to "No" by default.

Surplus, I don't think that makes any difference. It looks as if seeing your own ads is suppressed for advertisers when they are logged into their account. Not that it matters; as long as others see them.

However, when doing some tests with random keywords, I searched the word PORT and Pierre's ad showed up.

Pierre, why the heck would you buy that word for stamps lol?

I do not buy "port" or any other keywords but "stamp" and "stamps".

However, I buy advertisements in ALL "Stamps" categories and sub-categories (all countries) on .com, .ca, .uk, .au

The message varies by site and categories in some instances.

I am 100% certain that by searching for "port" right after login (no category selected), your ad showed on the top right. I did not click on it but it was your logo and said "Le Bel".

Not believing my eyes, I did it again and, again, your ad showed. Now, I cannot duplicate this.

Stubborn German that I am, I tried again with random keywords and your ad does not show. The moment I type "port", however, your ad shows. The logo is the one that shown on the board.

When I search "stamp", your ad shows but the logo is different. It is now the one with the 5c stamp with the Canada flag.

If you have not bought "port" you might want to check if you are being charged for it 🙂

I've found no rhyme nor reason as to how or when the ads show up for me, generally they don't show up unless:
-I sign out, leave IE completely, sign in as someone else (when I can see everyones again) and sign out and back in again as me
-I had to do the same thing on foreign sites (Pierre I've joined you on a buncha foreign ones including that international "Canada" site!!!)

If I do the sign in as someone else thing, I can sometimes see the ads for a while but after a bit they go away again, it's surprising to me that I don't see other peoples, I can understand why I wouldn't see mine but seeing nobodies is costing ebay the opportunity for me to decide to buy other people's stuff, how can I know about Pierres retirement sale if I don't see it!

Apparently lots of other people are getting the chance to see my (and everyone else's) stuff, at least according to the charges they're sending my way.....
