I am looking to start selling stuff on E-bay as a business. I am wondering if anyone could direct me to a good guide and a list of Dropshippers. Thanks you.

Hello 'mpmckinnon',
<< I don't personally drop ship on ebay, ... >>
Oh, okay. Your earlier pronouncement did seem a bit odd.
As Pierre has said, when someone here posts that they are doing quite well as a drop-shipper, we all want to see it.
We can't help ourselves. It's like someone saying he has a two-headed horse.
I have to wonder, though, in light of how ferocious ebay is about people discussing doing business off ebay,
why you would even bother to post on these boards that you do a thriving drop-shipping business elsewhere,
even including a drop-shipping link.
Yet when queried, you decline to indicate exactly where that thriving business is.
Cynical by nature, we'd like to see the horse.

Call distributors and ask them if they have a data feed and what the selling restrictions/authorizations required are for their product? There are plenty of distributors in Canada, but you'll find they are either highly commoditized (anything tech has plenty of people listing at 5-10% gross margins via web, so forget that space unless you carve out a very specific niche) or they are highly protective and catering to mass or niche retail and other sites like shop.ca. Due to the smaller market size in Canada, relationships are everything in this space and the attitude is nothing like it is with US distributors.
Even with the tier one distributors in Canada, dropshipping is a mess in my experience. Regarding currency, many Canadian distributors purchase in USD and offer USD dollar accounts. If you want to make any money in that business you buy in USD from them rather than paying their FX hedge. The FX spread is often where a Canadian distributor makes a key part of their profit. Unless you are going to perform the role of a content aggregator and better merchandise listings, it is pretty hard to carve out a niche.

" I am still researching ."
Please allow me to be frank and candid: you are wasting your time and efforts.
Sell what you know.... Know what you sell
If you really want to go in the mail order business (that is what selling on eBay and elsewhere is all about), select products you know, buy them, pay for them, bring them to your place, take pictures, offer them for sale if you know your lower costs will allow you to sell competitively (including shipping charges) after paying all expenses (fees, etc...)
Good Luck

It's interesting that this thread was picked up at this time.
I'm pretty sure the poster above (well, he's below now) ggmalkavian uses drop shipping and I don't believe I've seen any other poster who does.
Check it out.
