Hi there
I would like to sell a used toy (value is US $ 99.99) on ebay for some buyer in Italy. Too bad Canada Post no longeroffer registered air mail with a tracking #, the problem is that if I ship by air mail without tracking #, how can I protect myself not being scooped ??
Anything from Canada to Itlay with a tracking # will be super expensive and I don'tn think the buyer will be willing to pay the premium costs for just the postage.
Please help.

He won't be able to get it anyway - the only toys allowed into Italy are wooden ones. Everything else is subject to seizure at Italian Customs.

I don't believe that is true any longer. The list on USPS which is probably where you got that informatoin is out of date. Canada Post mentions that toys with copper sulphate are not allowed into Italy and UPS doesn't mention toys at all.

As long as it is under 2kg you can send it by small packet air and insure it through a third party insurance company such as Shipsurance. They do insure packages to Italy.
If you do go that route, make sure that you have proof that you actually mailed the package. The post office can stamp your receipt or you can make a copy of the paypal label and have them stamp that.
