Availabilty of ebay ids, feedback, and results on ebay safety

Message: From my past experiences on ebay, I wish to offer the following suggestions which I feel will help to make ebay a safer place to do business.

1. It is much too easy for ebayers to have many multiple ids on ebay. All a person needs is another email address which are quite easy to get, and or another credit card etc and they are on there way with a new fresh ebay id.

The availability of these ids undermines the already small protection that feedback offers. While I believe the ebay feedback system is a fine idea, the major fault of it is the ability to get another id.

My experiences on ebay have led me to know many ebayers use a lot of ids. People engaged in less than enjoyable activity, are the main people that use many multiple ids.

Recently I opened up another ebay id for Buying purposes only, electing to have a seperate id for most sales. This was to protect my ability to leave appropriate feedback when buying without damaging my selling rating. The same benefits I get from this other id, also give the less desirables an extra chance to do less than honest activity on ebay.

If it was only possible for ebayers to get a maximum of two ebay ids, etc, it would lead to a much better use of the feedback system for all ebayers.

As it stands now, If i wanted too, I can open 10 ebay ids right now without any problem whatsoever! Even 20. All I need is another family member or freind with an shaw isp account and unused available email addresses, and I can open ebay ids like crazy, and access all this email on my own home computer.

Seeing as almost anyone can be twenty different people right now on ebay, the integrety of all ebay activity is greatly hampered.

I know you people at ebay know, i am very right here, so if you want to get more bad people away, you need to at least limit each person to two ebay ids. Let them have one for selling and one for buying, and only let them use one email address.

Those that have many ebay ids could be given the one time opportunity to have all these ebay ids merged, to the new limit.

what answers , two people on this thread started out with an all out attack, with one supporting the other, and interpreting what they thought was said, rather than what was written. Very little discussion has been introduced by these two people.

Then they went on to talk about there qualifications and that no one else could state an opinion against anyone that was writing a book for dummies.

number of transaction boasts were made to show these people were superior and knew more as well, so no sense trying to state anything here, Just listen to us and shutup!

So as far as those answers go , Yes I dont really like those answers as they dont address the topic, and only serve to put the posters on a "a high and mighty hill". while putting down others.

I read all 106 post. Very interesting but just when you read about "Availability of ebay ids, feedback, and results on ebay safety".
I can see powersellers split on two groups. One group is who make his salary on E-bay and work very hard to make bucks. Some sellers sale regular items which you can buy in many places.
Another smaller group is the sellers who sale most really collectable items which easy to sale on E-bay and they expensive. Most of these sellers use E-bay to collect items, have fun and extra bucks.
But both groups use one E-bay with all troubles there.
I believe we really open for opinion if it is true and it is work. But please, stop powersellers' war between to groups.
I would like ask you all one question:"What is this war give you?"
Now about ebay ids! I know that if you have business account with E-bay and paypal you can have as many as you want e-bay ids but all feedback goes to main ID. Why person who has business on e-bay need more new ID with different feedback status? Person who has individual account can't have multi accounts like who has business. So they go around e-bay rules and open new IDS.
When Canadian Tire bought Mark's Work Warehouse recently, did they change them all to Canadian Tires? Do the Hudson's Bay Company, Sears, and a million others not operate under multiple names depending upon the goods they are selling and their target market?
You right about Canadian Tires, The Bay and..., but finally they have one account(like one feedback).
Start and many ideas are very interesting on these 106 posts but when we start have normal discursion with out abusing.
Bites can be different: between two people, who in love and bite with kiss, or dog's bite when it try to defence itself from 7-8 another dogs.
You can see one word: "BITE" has two meanings depend on what you want see or feel.

Well one thing for sure, I did notice that there are very very few using the Canadian discussion forum, and it sure does not take a long visit to see why.

Best thread i seen was one made by the bidwatcher on the US discussion board, Its a long time top threaded post for a very long time, and is a great example of some excellent discussion. Still trying to find moniques and treausure pots contribution to that thread, dont seem to see the there yet.

All of these ids were the same person who i followed his trail of leaving fake feedback.

In some cases he would even leave negetive feedback for himself to help hide the fact the ids were connected.
